LDV Winery, located at 6951 East 1st Street, has just released a new wine! The 2014 LDV Viognier defies the status quo and brings the excitement of a first date. 

2014 brought a low yield crop with high fruit intensity. The skins presented a color profile not yet seen without the grapes being overly ripe. The amber tint of the wine gives an indication of what is to come.  

The new wine can be enjoyed on its own or with a wide variety of foods. It offers a nose and mouthful of tropical fruits from pineapple to mango with a burst of fresh honey and vanilla. The oak is in the background but offers spicy notes that will complement the richness of grilled halibut, sea bass, steamed lobster and grilled shrimp with a vanilla beurre blanc sauce. It also works well with Brie cheese topped with fruit and crème brûlée.
