DiGiorgio Family Wines claimed three notable awards at the Melbourne International Wine Competition.

The local winery won gold for their 2015 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Montepulciano as well as taking out the Red Wine Winery of the Year Award.

Frank DiGiorgio of DiGiorgio Family Wines was extremely happy with the result.

“Its always good to be recognised among your peers and colleagues and it is a great result for the winery and everyone involved in the production of our wines,” he said.

“We think our 2015 reds are looking absolutely stunning and winning the Coonawarra Red Wine Winery of the Year tops it off nicely.”

The Melbourne International Wine Competition is the first major international wine competition with trade only judges comprised of buyers from the top retail stores, sommeliers, restaurant owners, hotel beverage directors, distributor and importers.
