Bibendum has added nine wines from top-end Italian producer, Masseria Li Veli to its premium portfolio, and through Walker & Wodehouse.

Masseria Li Veli was founded in 1999 in the Puglia region of southern Italy, and focuses on the use of indigenous grapes, including rarely seen local varieties such as Susumaniello and Verdeca.

‘We look forward to working with Bibendum and being part of such a great portfolio,’ says Edoardo Falvo of Masseria Li Veli.

‘This is another very important step in our strategy of expanding our brand in the UK after the opening in late 2014, of the Li Veli Winery & Bistro in Covent Garden area, with the aim of offering to our customers the possibility  to taste all our wines and vintages along with the typical Apulian recipes in the centre of London.’

Six reds and two white wines will be added to the Bibendum portfolio, including Askos Susumaniello and Askos Verdeca from Li Veli’s Askos project, created using a selection of extremely rare, ancient Apulian grape varieties.
