The Lakes Distillery is delighted to introduce the latest member to its spirit family – the Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask finish of the ONE Whisky. This new limited edition limited to 5,252 numbered bottles worldwide. The sherry cask finish will be the last expression of the ONE prior to the Lakes Malt coming out next year.

The fruity character of the spirit will appeal to those who enjoyed the Oloroso Sherry cask finish whiskey earlier in the year (of which there are only a handful of bottles left).

The ONE British Isles whiskey blends whiskeys of outstanding character to create a unique combination of flavors that reflect the passion, diversity, and craftsmanship inherent across our island nations.  These have then been married together before being put into Pedro Ximenez Sherry hogsheads, carefully crafted in Spain from European oak. These PX hogsheads have then been seasoned with sweet, dark sherry for a period of time, before being used to add a new layer of complexity to our unique whiskey, The ONE.

Dhaval Gandhi, chief whiskey maker, shared his thoughts on the spirit, “The palate is smooth and creamy with notes of vanilla, sun-dried raisins and nutmeg. For me, it tastes of dried fruits with hints of fresh ginger and toffee with a gentle smoky finish.”
