Glenmorangie Scoops 7 Golds At IWSC Awards 2017
Glenmorangie has scooped 7 gold medals at this years International Wines & Spirits Competition.
Iconic whisky maker Glenmorangie has picked up seven gold medal awards at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
Awards from the IWSC which was established in 1969 has long been recognised as a good indication of the quality and excellence of the world’s best wines, spirits and liqueurs with the competition judged by an esteemed panel of prominent industry experts including master distillers, wine and spirit buyers, and respected wine and spirit writers. Entries are judged in two stages: first they are tasted blind by expert panels, then a selection of entries are chosen for a second round of technical analysis.
This year Glenmorangie’s signature expression, Glenmorangie Original, upheld its industry reputation at the IWSC by picking up a gold medal alongside six additional whiskies from the Highland distillery.
Other whiskies in the Glenmorangie core range also celebrated with gold medals being awarded to the ruby port cask finish Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban; Sauternes cask finish Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or; travel retail exclusive Glenmorangie Duthac and Glenmorangie Extremely Rare 18 Year Old.
The distillery also picked up gold medals for a couple of its recent innovative limited releases, the Glenmorangie Bacalta, the latest addition to the sought-after Private Edition series, and the first release from Bond House No. 1 collection, Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1990.
