Dead Guy Whiskey Wins Double Gold
That’s twice the gold for Rogue Spirits at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Rogue’s Dead Guy Whiskey brought home the Double Gold at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). Rogue also earned bronze for Oregon Single Malt Whiskey and Spruce Gin.
The Double Gold is rare. It only happens when a spirit receives a Gold medal rating by everyone on the judging panel.
During the four-day competition, experts, including world-renowned mixologists, spirits buyers, and media from across the United States, judge each spirit during controlled blind tastings where all info about the distillery is withheld.
Founded in 2000, the SFWSC is one of the oldest and most respected competitions of its kind. Hundreds of spirits are entered in the competition every year.
