Sharps Brewery Launches Limited-Edition Dawn Patrol
Cornwall-based brewer Sharp’s has announced the launch of its latest limited release – a Californian common style called Dawn Patrol.
Cornwall-based brewer Sharp’s has announced the launch of its latest limited release – a Californian common style called Dawn Patrol.
Coming in at 4% abv, this is the third limited release of 2017, following Two Tides and Rye Rock earlier this year.
Described as a perfectly refreshing brew for the summer months, the beer is said to have a firm bitterness that is balanced with malty, toasted caramel flavours. Aromas of mint and wood are apparant due to the combination of Northern Brewer hops and a higher fermentation temperature.
With every pint sold, 5p will be donated to the Blue Flag charity, that works to keep beaches safe and clean. Sharp’s has donated £28,000 to Blue Flag in recent years, which has funded applications for all Blue Flag and Seaside Awards in Cornwall.
‘This latest limited release is our first California Common Style ale in our portfolio, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to experimenting with new tastes and styles,’ said James Nicholls, senior brand manager at Sharp’s Brewery. ‘Our limited releases prove very popular with our on-trade stockists and consumers alike, and we look forward to introducing this latest brew.
‘At Sharp’s we are proud supporters of the Blue Flag initiative, a charity that is very close to our heart, as the beaches and coastline are very important to us.’
‘We are thrilled to be receiving this support from Sharp’s Brewery, which is helping us to aid beaches and communities in Cornwall and around the country,’ added Allison Ogden-Newton, chief executive at Keep Britain Tidy.
