Hilltop will be available beginning Monday. Columbus, Ohio craft beer maker, Four String Brewing Co., has announced the release of “Hilltop Lager,” which will be available in cans and on draft Monday, May 15.

This new year-round beer will be released in six packs of 16 oz. cans, with a suggested retail price of $7.99. It will also be available on draft throughout the city.

At 4.2% ABV and 13 IBU’s, it’s a crushable American style lager with subtle continental hop character.

“Hilltop was inspired by our love of classic American lager beer. We see this as a beer for everyone, and being affordable makes it more accessible,” said Head Brewer Nick Gabriel. “Craft breweries seem to be afraid to venture into this style because of the history of cheaply made, mass market American lagers. In turn, beer drinkers have not had much of a local option for this style of beer,” he added.

Four String’s core can lineup also includes Switchblade IPA, Brass Knuckle Pale Ale, Rectifier Double IPA, and Payback Pilsner. Look for Hilltop Lager in bars, grocery stores, and carry outs throughout Columbus as well as at the 6th Ave Taproom and the West Side Production Facility Taproom on Hague Ave.
